Rebellion of Noise

You lay on the ground where waves still vibrate

and the arcade noises play. Are you trying to feel something?

Dwelling in the darkness and with a single sigh,

the pain flew out a scream released.

You left me just outside.

They say you’re insane, lighting matches with anger.

I found a flame is daunting, even to its creator.

I saw a fire burn, aside a fallen guitar

Black and blue, purple, red,

a loaded revolver.

I’m still unsure,

just a stranger I can’t recognize

A rebellion of noise,

to remember I don’t have to apologize

Rain graces pavement as I watch from inside.

Wash away the cigarettes, hear the cars pass by.

Faster in the darkness, I crawl back down the street

Back to my home

Try to go to sleep

I’m still unsure

just a stranger I can’t recognize

A rebellion of noise

to remember I don’t have to apologize

I see eye rolls and hazy glance behind

And my mind goes crazy, creating a lie

Attached to fear

Drawn to anger, still too scared to explore

when the lies get louder
